The
Internet Names Authorization &
Information Center (INAIC) Council
Advisory Committee
is pleased to announce the appointment
of Andrew Dawe to the INAIC Council.
Mr. Dawe is the Country Representative
for Canada, and General Counsel –
Americas and Caribbean for a leading
global provider of Information Technology
and Telecommunications solutions to
the air transport community. An Australian
national, he is a lawyer by profession,
having degrees in Arts and Law from
the University of Queensland.
Following
his admission to legal practice, Mr.
Dawe worked in private practice before
joining a major Australian mining
and petroleum company as a corporate
lawyer. After seven years in corporate
law, he left Australia for a personal
sabbatical year in Europe, in order
primarily to realize his ambition
to learn a language other than English.
Mr. Dawe studied French in Paris and
German in Cologne.
His
legal career has included the development
of corporate internal legal services
and he has also provided country-level
operational management. As a member
of the INAIC Council Mr. Dawe will
contribute to the development of inclusive
policies that promote public participation
in the Public-Root.
Mr.
Dawe’s personal interests, apart
from his family, include flying, skiing,
swimming, home networking, and a general
interest in the evolution of computer
technology and the Internet.
